Detail Itinerary
Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to the Hotel
After your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, our airport representative will greet you and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, you can take rest or explore the streets of Thamel nearby your hotel. In the evening, we will organize a short pre-trip meeting and introduce you with your trekking guide, who will brief you about the preparations to be done for the trip.

Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus (7 hours).
We drive about 6-7 hrs from Kathmandu to the gorgeous lakeside city of Pokhara, traveling on the Prithvi Highway alongside the wild Trishuli river. The scenery along with drive, characterized by terraced rice fields and rolling hills builds our anticipation for the trek. Pokhara is a relaxing town, surrounded by nature’s beauty with views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and the Annapurna.

Drive from Pokhara and then trek to Tikhedhunga : 1 hr drive, 3-4 hrs trek
After your morning brakfast, we take a drive from Pokhara. You will follow the trail that passes through the river upstream that leads to popular town of Birethanti. From here the trekking trail leads you through to the bamboo forests waterfalls pasture used by pony caravans, until you reach the tiny hamlet of Sudami. We halt here for an ideal lunch. After that we make a steady climb up the valley towards Hille and finally reach Tikhedunga. We take a nights rest here for the next day.

Tilkhedhunga to Ghorepani : 7-8 hrs
After our morning breakfast, the trail ascends and keeping a steady pace, we reach as far as the Magar village of Ulleri. From Ulleri, passing through pastures cultivated fields, cascading river, the oak and Rhododendron forest, we reach Ghorepani.
Early morning Hike up to Poon Hill (3,210 m) and trek to Tadapani (2,610 m) : 6-7 hrs
The following day we wake up early to hike up to Poon hill to get the first views of the spectacular sunrise emerging over the high himalayas. This is the place where you get to see splendid panoramic views of Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Hiuchhuli, Gangapurna and the Machhapuchhre mountain. Getting thrilled by the stunning mountain views, we start our trek towards Tadapani. We steadily make a climb towards the Deurali pass crossing over the steep and all across the densely covered forest. We then finally reach Tadapani.
Tadapani to Pokhara : 4 hrs trek, 2 hrs drive
Today you will be making a steep descend amidst rhododendron forests and reach up to Baise Kharka. Passing by you will come across monkeys and different kinds of birds and cross the stream all along the ridge and reach Ghandruk. Ghandruk belongs to the ethnic Gurung people in Nepal. This is a picturesque place that is known for its good mountain viewing of the likes of Annapurna South and Fish Tail (Macchapuchhare). We regroup, recharge and refresh for some time and after that pass through small hamlets, terraced rice field, and dense subtropical forests. Following the Modi Khola with a steady pace we reach Birethanti. From here we continue our walk till we reach Nayapul and catch a private vehicle to reach Pokhara.

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (7 hrs)
From Pokhara, we drive back to Kathmandu travelling on the Prithvi Highway alongside the Trishuli river and green hills, which takes around 6-7 hrs. We will then transfer you to your hotel. You can take rest and spend your time freely. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner in a cultural Nepali restaurant with typical Nepali cuisine and cultural shows to celebrate the successful completion of our Poon Hill Ghorepani Trek.

Today is the last day of your trip. If you would like to stay more in Nepal; you have many options which can be shared with us upon request.
