Kathmandu Valley Tour starts with guests arriving in Kathmandu. Kathmandu Valley, often called the "City of Temples" is home to over 2,000 temples and monuments. In this small geographical region there are seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is surrounded by the majestic Himalayas and places around the valley are worth visiting. Our shepherd holidays representative will welcome you at Tribhuvan international airport and you will be transferred to a hotel. In the evening you can roam around the Thamel area, known for its lively atmosphere and local shops. where you can explore its market and try out local delicacies.
On day two we will focus on a Kathmandu Valley Day Tour, starting with a visit to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), where visitors will enjoy panoramic views of the Kathmandu Valley.The tour continues to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in the world and a significant Buddhist site. Next, guests will visit Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple with cremation ghats along the Bagmati River. The day concludes with a visit to Patan Durbar Square, For an extra experience, guests can opt for an Early Morning Mountain Flight to view the majestic Himalayas, including Mount Everest, from the sky. After completing our Kathmandu valley sightseeing tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel to relax after a day of exploration.
Nagarkot is located around 32 km east of Kathmandu at an altitude of 2,195 meters (7,201 feet), is renowned for its breathtaking sunrise views over the Himalayan range, including peaks such as Everest, Langtang, and Ganesh Himal. Your day three begins with a trip to Nagarkot for a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range. Afterward, visitors can choose to hike to Changunarayan, an ancient Hindu temple and UNESCO World Heritage Site, or opt for a visit to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, guests are greeted by a Shepherd Holiday representative who will assist them with airport procedures. The guests will be transferred to their hotel in Kathmandu, where they can check in and freshen up. After settling in, guests will have free time in the evening to explore Thamel, a vibrant tourist district full of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. This is a great place to enjoy dinner.
If you land early on the morning you can do multiple activities: visit to Kirtipur for authentic Newari cuisine, relax with a traditional Nepali massage in Thamel, join a cooking class to learn making momo and other dishes. For a spiritual touch you can visit a yoga center. We'll help you do the activities you like and make sure you have a great time.
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour

If the guests are interested in an early morning adventure on Day 2, there’s an option for a Mountain Flight to witness the majestic Himalayas, including Mt. Everest. This flight offers spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks.
Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple):
The first stop is the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. This ancient Buddhist site offers a stunning panoramic view of Kathmandu. Guests can explore the stupa and surrounding area, full of religious significance and monkeys.
Boudhanath Stupa:
Next, the tour will visit Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in Nepal and a significant center for Tibetan Buddhism. Guests can walk around the stupa, spin prayer wheels, and explore the surrounding area for a spiritual experience.
Pashupatinath Temple:

Visit Changunarayan:
After sunrise, guests will go to Changunarayan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The hike takes guests through picturesque villages and terraced fields, offering a peaceful retreat from the city.
Alternative: If guests prefer not to hike, they can opt for a Bhaktapur tour, visiting the well-preserved medieval city with its intricate temples, palaces, and stunning architecture.

Breakfast at Hotel: The last day begins with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel.
Hotel Check-out and Transfer: Guests check out of the hotel, and a representative will transfer them to the airport for their departure, marking the end of the Kathmandu Valley Tour.
If your flight is in the evening, and you have time to explore then you can visit Basantapur and Dharahara(tower, try street food, shop at Asan and Indra Chowk, or relax at the Garden of Dreams. You can also enjoy a rickshaw ride or unwind at a local café before heading to the airport.
