Traditional Everest Base Camp Trek from Jiri begins by road transport from Kathmandu to Bhandara (approx... 8 hours in drive) which is the starting point of trekking. This is a very old route of trekking to reach to the Everest base camp. Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norge Sherpa used this trail who are the first people to summit the Everest in 1953. Kalapatthar (5,500m) is the highest point of the trek.
Traditional Everest Base Camp Trek from Jiri enables you a daily walk of 5-7 hours takes you to the ending point of this route giving you plenty of times to view and take photo/videos of the attractions. Many prayers flags and Mani stones can be seen on the way. Alpine forests, glaciers, rivers, suspension bridges, small town of Namche bazar, Monastery, Museum, Cultures, heritages, Wildlife, Peaks and towers of mountains, snow leopard, red panda, Kalapatthar are major attractions of this trail. The trek ends from Lukla airport taking a short flight to Kathmandu or can return back from Jiri itself.
